About the An-Duyen Charitable Foundation (ADCF)
An-Duyen Charitable Foundation (ADCF) was established by Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Nhu Nhat and their family to promote education and assist motivated but financially challenged students around the globe. These goals were shaped by personal experience and knowledge gained throughout their lives. During childhood, Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen nhu Nhat had to miss school intermittently due to the war; thus they treasured the time in school and appreciated every available opportunity to learn. Mr. Nhat Nguyen had also gained valuable insight while working as a teaching assistant at Morningside Elementary School for over 14 years. He recognized the importance of education and believed it to be an impetus to improve and advance every aspects of society. ADCF is his humble contribution to society. It’s also the means to pay forward the scholarships and financial assistance that the Nguyens’ children received during their initial years settling in the US. It’s also the means for Mrs. Nguyen to continue her philanthropy spirit and encourage family members and others to do the same. The name “An-Duyen” was selected to honor the town where Mr. Nhat Nhu Nguyen and the Nguyen-Nhu ancestors were born. An-Duyen literally means a place of peace but also carries other meanings such as fortunate, harmony, close connection with society...
